Zambia & South Africa March 2018 Trip Update

GAP Community was making way in Africa this month!  Amy Maxwell led a team on a three week Zambia and South Africa trip, and Jean-Marie Jobs soon followed with a Zambia schedule packed with trainings as well.

45  7th graders were trained at Hero Camp to instill value and purpose about why they were created

120+ 5th and 6th graders in South Africa at Perivale Elementary & Legacy Center gained powerful leadership tools at the Leadership Trainings

160 Zambian adults completed the Hero Training

The GAP team invested in training 250 students at the Hesed School in Lusaka, Zambia

New couples rejuvenated and re-envisioned their relationship through the Fusion Marriage Workshop

17 children at Zambian orphanage receiving desperately needed books and curriculum, as well as more substantive food to eat beyond cereal and porridge.

50 men and women pastors trained to reach their communities

Trained, equipped and encouraged the Hesed School teachers of Zambia who reach 250 students/day

All of our previous Fusion Marriage Workshop graduates reaffirmed their commitments to each other

40 students learned Krav Maga as a form of empowerment about their value in what is commonly known as a “rape culture”

The GAP team led a three-day Hero Camp in South Africa – March 2017. Team member, Jason Stoub, gathered a group of kids to share what they had written in their journals after an exercise and this is how the kids responded when he shared the example that he likes hugs.
