Last night I had the privilege of joining a prayer call for the upcoming Reveal Semina in Virginia. As I was listening to everyone’s sweet prayers I was struck with a reminder, we are to come boldly to the throne. Hebrews 4:1616 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

I believe we can be both respectful and bold. Jesus clearly says Matthew 7:10-11 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?  If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!I am reminded to be clear, go to my Father and boldly ask for healing, for comfort, for help. I don’t have to minimize or justify what I want I can just ask.

Where do we get this idea that our good good Father would not want to give to His children? Maybe we think because at times what we ask we don’t get? Or what we ask for is selfish. This is where we get to have faith that our Father is knowing us and our future and giving to that end.

Don’t let anything stop you from coming to your Father and asking Him today!
