Spirit Lead Me!

“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior”

When was the last time you invited the Spirit to lead you where you have never been?
My feet tend to wander the same path each day: kitchen, upstairs, downstairs, gym, home, upstairs, downstairs, bed. My prayers tend to follow the same path, bless my family, help me, I love you , forgive me, Amen. Where is the space in our life for the Spirit to call? Why do I think I am the one doing the calling instead of doing the listening? What waters would you dare to walk on if called?

I think of Peter, when Jesus called Him on the water what was his first thought? Yippee? Fear? His heart must have longed after the one he called Savior so much so that he followed when he was called even into the seemingly crazy. You know his faith and understanding grew mountains that day. When I linger in the presence of my Savior I too feel moved to wonderful great things. Things like loving my children in more full ways, having bold conversations, creating art, and imagining my small world coming alive again.

I would love to hear what the Spirit is calling you too. What waters are you treading in? Have you ventured to where you trust is without borders? Let this be a reminder that the Spirit is always calling and where he invites is beyond our limits!
